Voter ID Card Online Application



Voter ID card is an identification card issued by the election commission of India to all eligible citizens of India.
Voter ID card serves you as a proof of identity while casting the vote on the day of election.
Voter ID card also serves you as an Identity Proof & address proof.
Eligibility for Electoral roll/ Voter ID card:
  • Every Indian citizen on attaining age of 18years or more on 1st January of the year
  • Every Indian citizen shifting his / her place of ordinary residence outside the constituency in which he / she is already registered
  • Every Indian citizen staying in a foreign country, who has not acquired citizenship of a foreign country, and has completed 18 years as on 1st January of the year
Basic requirements for Applying Electoral roll/ Voter ID card:
  • Date of birth proof
  • Photo identity proof
  • Address proof

Eligibility for FORM-6:
  • Every Indian citizen on attaining age of 18years or more on 1st January of the year
  • Every Indian citizen shifting his / her place of ordinary residence outside the constituency in which he / she is already registered
Guidelines for FORM-6: The application should be addressed to the Electoral Registration Officer of the constituency in which you seek registration, with constitution name.
  • Name (With Documentary Proof) The name as it should appear in the electoral roll and Electors Photo Identity Card.
  • Age (With Documentary Proof)
  • Gender: Male/Female.
  • Date of Birth: DD/MM/YYYY (enclose Date of birth proof copy )
  • Mention relation’s Name (In case of unmarried female applicant, name of Father / Mother)
  • Complete Address (enclose address proof copy)
  • Place of Birth: Mention Village / Town, District, State.

Eligibility for FORM-6A:
  • Every Indian citizen staying in a foreign country, who has not acquired citizenship of a foreign country,
  • The applicant should have completed eighteen years of age as on 1st January of the year.
  • The application should be submitted directly to the Electoral Registration Officer (ERO) of the constituency where the address of the applicant as given in the valid passport.
  • One recent passport size coloured photograph with a white background
  • Write your name and other particulars as given in the valid Indian Passport
  • If application is sent by post, it should be enclosed by photo-copy of the relevant pages of the passport containing the photograph and all other particulars of the applicant and the page containing the valid visa endorsement. These photo-copies should be duly self attested.
  • If the application is submitted in person before the ERO, the application should be accompanied by a photo-copy of the relevant pages of the passport as mentioned above. The original passport should also be produced along with the application for verification by the registration officer. The passport will be returned immediately after verification. Voting

Eligibility for FORM-8:
  • Person whose name is already included in the electoral roll seeking correction to his/her particulars already printed in the electoral roll.
Guidelines for FORM-8: The application should be addressed to the Electoral Registration Officer of the constituency in which the name of the applicant is already included. The name of the constituency should be mentioned in the blank space. Application Form consists four parts which are mandatory.
Part I:
  • Write your name, as it should appear in the electoral roll. In case the initials to your name printed in the electoral roll are in abbreviated form and you want them to be printed in expanded form you can write your full name in expanded form.
  • Please fill up the Part Number and serial number in that part of electoral roll where your name is listed. This is mandatory.
  • Indicate your Age in years and months as on 1st January of the year with reference to which the electoral roll is printed.
  • Gender: Male/Female.
  • Date of Birth: DD/MM/YYYY (enclose Date of birth proof copy )
  • Mention relation’s Name (In case of unmarried female applicant, name of Father / Mother)
Part II:
  • Complete Address (enclose address proof copy)
  • Details of Electors’ Photo Identity Card. (the card number & date of issue)
Part III: Enclose a self-attested photocopy of both sides of the card.
Part IV: Details of entries to be corrected
  • Name
  • Age
  • Date of birth
  • Relations name
  • Sex
  • Address
  • Photo identity Proof
  • Recent passport size coloured photograph
Note:
  • Give your full name and complete address on the acknowledgement and intimation portions.
  • Give your mobile number and E-mail I.D, so that Electoral Registration Officer may further communicate with you whenever it is required.
Eligibility for FORM-8A:
  • An existing electoral roll is eligible for FORM-8A
  • If any electoral roll wants change to different place of the same constituency
Guidelines for FORM-8A: The application should be addressed to the Electoral Registration Officer of the constituency in which transpositions of the relevant entry is required. The name of the constituency should be mentioned in the blank space. Application Form consists three parts which are mandatory.
  • Part I-Fill the name Part No. & Sr. No. of the electoral roll
  • Part II-Mention the complete address of the new place where you have shifted.
  • Part III-Indicate the approximate period of continuous residence at the new address.

  • Note:
  • Give your full name and complete address on the acknowledgement and intimation portions.
  • Give your mobile number and E-mail I.D, so that Electoral Registration Officer may further communicate with you whenever it is required.
